1. Introduction

ESTË Studio is a companion app for preparing songs before a live performance. It provides a visual timeline editor where you can arrange tempo, time signatures, regions, audio tracks, and MIDI events for each song in your setlist. Studio is designed for the rehearsal and pre-production phase — build your songs here, then perform them in ESTË Live.

Studio shares the same song and setlist data as ESTË Live. Both apps read from and write to the same ~/ESTE/ directory, so any songs or setlists you create in Studio are immediately available in Live and vice versa. There is no import/export step — the two apps work on the same files.
