2. Layout Overview

The Studio interface is organized into three areas:

Header bar — Full-width bar at the top with:

Zone Content
Left ESTË Studio logo (matches sidebar width, separated by a vertical border)
Center-left Transport controls: Play/Pause (green), Stop (gray), time display (MM:SS.s), click toggle (metronome icon) — visible when a song has audio clips
Center Active song name displayed as an accent-colored badge
Right Save button (floppy disk icon) with orange dot for unsaved changes + Settings gear button

Settings drawer — Click the gear icon (rightmost button in the header) to open a settings drawer from the right side. It contains two sections:

  • License — Displays the End User License Agreement (EULA). Also accessible via the macOS menu: ESTË Studio → License Agreement…
  • About — Shows the ESTË Studio logo, version number, donation link, and contact information. Also accessible via the macOS menu: ESTË Studio → About ESTË Studio

Press Escape or click outside the drawer to close it.

Left sidebar — Setlist and song management panel (same width as the header logo zone). Contains the setlist selector, song create form, tracked song list, and unused songs section. See Section 3 for details.

Main area — Timeline editor or empty state placeholder. When no song is loaded, a message prompts you to select a song from the sidebar. When a song is loaded, the toolbar and timeline editor appear.
