7. MIDI Track Editor

The MIDI track editor allows creating and editing MIDI Program Change (PC) and Control Change (CC) events on the timeline.

Creating a MIDI track:

  1. Click the MIDI button in the toolbar
  2. Enter a name, optionally set an output port and MIDI channel, choose a color
  3. Click Create — a new MIDI lane appears on the timeline

Adding events:

  • Click on an empty area of a MIDI lane to add a new event at that bar position
  • An inline popup appears to set the event type (PC/CC), channel, and parameter values

Editing events:

  • Click a pill marker to open the inline editor — change type, channel, or parameters
  • Click Delete to remove an event
  • Double-click the track label (left side) to edit track properties (name, port, channel, color)

Event types:

  • Program Change (PC) — sends a program number (0-127) to change the sound on a MIDI device
  • Control Change (CC) — sends a controller number (0-127) and value (0-127) for continuous control
