Overview

ESTË Live and ESTË Studio are native macOS applications for live IEM mix management and track preparation. They are designed to operate entirely offline and on your local network. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

ESTË applications do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

  • No user accounts or registration required
  • No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
  • No cookies or browser fingerprinting
  • No data sent to external servers (except update checks — see below)

Local Network Communication

ESTË Live communicates exclusively over your local WiFi network (LAN) using WebSocket connections. ESTË Studio operates entirely offline with no network communication. The Live network communication includes:

  • Mixer control data (fader positions, mute/solo states)
  • Audio meter levels
  • Transport state (play/stop/record)

This data never leaves your local network and is not persisted beyond the active session.

Audio Data

Audio files, recordings, songs, and project data are stored locally on your Mac in the ~/ESTË/ directory. They are never uploaded or transmitted externally. Both ESTË Live and ESTË Studio share this same local directory.

Application Logs

ESTË applications write diagnostic log files to ~/ESTË/.logs/ on your Mac. These logs contain technical information such as audio device configuration, error messages, and session events. They do not contain personal data and are never transmitted externally. Log files remain on your computer and can be deleted at any time.

Automatic Updates

ESTË applications periodically check for new versions by requesting a small JSON file from este.audio. This request contains only standard HTTP headers (such as your IP address and browser user agent) and is handled by our hosting provider (Netlify). No personal data, device identifiers, or usage information is sent. If an update is available, you will be prompted before anything is downloaded or installed.

Third-Party Services

ESTË applications do not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or cloud platforms.

Website

This website (este.audio) is a static site. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
